CD-160130 is an orally administered substance which in ex vivo studies has repeatedly demonstated its potential for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL), selectively acting on the leukaemia cells and sparing healthy cells.
Studies at both the laboratories of The Medicines Company in Leipzig and at the Duke University (Medical Center) in Durham, North Carolina, CD-160130 has shown better efficacy in the killing of leukaemia cells than other tested drugs. .
